As part of my 4-year sandwich course at university, I undertook a placement year at Everest Home Improvements. My role was in the Product Team which had 4 members. The experience of working in an industry-leading company was invaluable as I got to work on great projects that were spread across a broad spectrum of areas.

Everest Technical Guide
The Everest Technical Guide was the main project that I had the responsibility of with my colleague. We were set the task of creating a document that summarised every piece of information about the Everest product range. Over the years there were different documents created about individual ranges but these became dated and keeping up with them was a confusing task.
To stop all these problems it was decided to create this Everest 'bible' that contained all the information anyone could ever need about the products and other areas relating to the company.
During the project, I produced copy, illustrations, touched up product images, set out content and gathered the information for the majority of the guide. It was a lengthy but enjoyable process which was topped off with it being showcased at the Everest Annual Conference.

House Beautiful Doors Style Brochure
I was given the task of designing a style brochure for the House Beautiful range of doors. The purpose of this was to show all of door features, colours and slab designs that were on offer to the customer. I used a graphic and layout style separate to the rest of the existing Everest sales material to stand the collection out. This gave the brochure a premium feel and kept consistent with the House Beautiful style.
Everest Garage Door Range Brochure
I was given the task of designing a style brochure for the Everest Garage Door selection. The brochure would give an overview of the range with each page highlighting a separate style. Displayed is features, designs, colours and general information about the doors.
Everest 44mm Composite Door Range Brochure
Another brochure I had the chance to design was the Everest 44mm Composite Door Brochure. Created to give the customers a brief idea of what the range was and what you can choose from. This followed the Everest Brand Guidelines.
House Beautiful Doors Photoshoot
I took part in the photoshoot for the new House Beautiful range of composite doors. My role was planning the types of shots that we needed and also assisting on shoot. It was great to see what goes on during the shoot which was something I hadn't experienced before. A number of the shots ended up in a House Beautiful Magazine article feature.
Hampton Court Garden Information Sheets
Everest were sponsors of the Celebrity Theatre at the annual Hampton Court Flower Show. For 2019 there were three charity gardens each associated to a celebrity guest. For this I had the task of creating information sheets about the gardens for visitors to pick up and learn more.
