Keep It Brief
Keep It Brief was an Instagram page setup for creatives with mock creative briefs to complete and put your own spin on. I found this great throughout the lockdown period of 2020 to keep at the design work and have a bit of fun in doing so too. The briefs had a 1 week deadline so it was similar to briefs in real world situations.
Each piece of work has the associated brief underneath it.
Ferne Automotive
Ferne is a German automotive manufacturer that strives to be the market leader in electronic vehicles.
Ferne has a global reach and is looking to refresh their brand and help define them as the sleek, sophisticated and eco-conscious conglomerate they are.
Klashe Records
Klashe is a globally renowned record label hailing from Berlin. The label has grown from putting on underground raves in the 90s to signing some of the biggest DJs in the world.
Klashe are now looking to refresh their brand while keeping those 90s rave aesthetics alive. You can show the logo animated within club visuals, on a record sleeve or even just on its own.
Desi Daaru Brewery
India is a land of Colors. And as you say this, you talk about a country that is a vibrant display of culture. Whether it’s the food, the dressing, the festivals or the streetscape.
This week let’s take inspiration from the Quirky Indian signage, the colourful Indian typography, the festive patterns or even the kitschy truck designs.
This week’s brief is to create branding for a local brewery, Desi Daaru. They’ve recently released an IPA bursting with the flavours of India.
Be sure to create an identity that reflects the colourful country in all senses.
Yasai Japanese Takeaway
Yasai is a popular vegetarian Japanese takeaway. They’re branching out and have just acquired a new space further into town. They’re looking for a talented individual to make the most of their new space.
They’re hoping to have their identity refreshed and applied to an in-store mural as well as packaging. Choose to take on a single aspect or the full brand identity.
Giovanni's Pizzeria
Giovanni’s is a well established, family-run pizza shop in town. Unfortunately, sales are dropping due to the huge influx of trendier restaurants in the area and they need you to help them recapture the consumer’s eye.
Giovanni’s current identity could use a revamp. Whether you want to showcase this as a quick logo, applied to eye-catching takeaway packaging or a fresh new website, it’s entirely up to you. Anything goes – run with it!
